Choosing Your Favourite Online Bingo Site

Sunday, July 19th, 2009

Choosing a favourite online bingo site is not always easy. In fact, it can be quite difficult because many of the bingo sites out there are really similar to their competitors. This has much to do with the software designers and the extensive research available into what works and what does not. However, the best bingo sites will welcome you and have that special something that you feel goes above and beyond others. Those site will grab your attention right away.

There is no formula as to which sites you find that you prefer but you will will find that you play bingo at some sites more than others. Just make sure that you try enough out to be certain that you are using the right ones for you. There are plenty of free cash offers so make the most of them.

The Summer Of Bingo

Friday, July 17th, 2009

The summer of bingo is upon us! Although the weather out at the moment is more like late September than the middle of July, all of the online bingo providers are really pushing out the boat this year. Many are offering huge cash jackpots, others massive giveaways and then of course there is the free cash to play bingo on the individual sites to see how you like them.

With the credit crunch biting hard and no sign of improvements, bingo fans may just want to have a quick glance around and assess your options. After all, there are plenty to choose from. If you need any inspiration or a quick reference to see what the best bingo sites are offering then take a look at the previous posts on here and check back every day. With real reviews and our pick of the promotions, you will soon find out why this is the summer of bingo!

Free Online Bingo: The Restrictions

Wednesday, July 15th, 2009

If you have yet to see the free cash offers that many of the best bingo sites are offering new players and old players if you play via mobile then you must be on another planet because they are absolutely everywhere at the moment. It seems to be the method of choice to make each site stand out from the competition and attract new players.

However, some players have been making complaints about the free cash offers because they are getting nasty surprises.

This is largely because there are restrictions placed on any money you get for free from these sites. After all, it is not technically your money. The trick is to read the small print because you may be limited to using it to play bingo or certain games online. It is also unlikely that you would be able to withdraw any cash you win with your free cash until you have deposited so make sure that you know exactly where you stand with free money to play bingo online.

Fee Information About Playing Bingo Online

Monday, July 13th, 2009

In recent weeks I have mentioned the bingo tax, credit card charges and penalties for inactive accounts and its all getting a little confusing so I thought that I would just clarify what you can expect in terms of charges when you play online bingo.

If you play bingo online then you should not expect to pay more as a result of the bingo tax furore because it will not impact on you. In fact, you should not have to pay any fees at all in order to play bingo online because it is the responsibility of the provider to cover their own taxes.

The only charges you may have to cover by playing bingo is a credit card charge for depositing money (tip – use a debit card) or the cost of going online with your mobile. These are general charges not levied by the provider. Hope this clears it all up!

Play Bingo On Your Hols!

Saturday, July 11th, 2009

We all know that things are tight financially this year and that many households are going on holiday within the UK rather than abroad. Some are still going abroad but on much cheaper holidays. However, regardless of where you are going you may be planning to play bingo on your mobile or laptop to relax. After all, you can spend a few hours playing on some online bingo sites for free and save money for trips and outings.

However, a word of warning before you choose to play bingo on holiday. Many will not allow you to play bingo online if you are outside of the UK because it is against their terms and conditions. Others allow you to play within Europe but not outside of that, and especially not in the US. Furthermore, you may not be eligible for certain promotions if you are outside of the UK either. Be aware of this before you start to play and wind up disappointed.

Save Our Bingo Halls: More Bingo Tax News!

Friday, July 10th, 2009

Breaking with convention today people – instead of publishing two reviews, as we normally do every otherday, I’m writing another bingo tax update because he industry is seriously under threat. Today we learned that that the government had refused to alter the bingo tax from 22% and bring it back in line with all other gambling establishments at 15%. They are killing the industry and discriminating against those that love to play bingo.

In all honesty, all bingo halls and venues will really struggle to survive this latest blow. It is blatantly obvious that this will put people out of jobs and cut tax revenue in a major way but Parliament obviously does not care. The question is whether boycotts will affect online bingo or not. Only time will tell.

Quick Bingo Tax Update

Thursday, July 9th, 2009

I wrote a few days ago about the bingo tax level and the discontent it was causing in the bingo industry. At 22%, it is higher than that any other gambling facility would have to pay. As such, it is arguably the main reason as to why many bingo clubs can no longer sustain their facilities and are closing. Howver, many are protesting because it would put people out of jobs and the demand to play bingo is still there.

Well, as a result of the march at the start of July and ongoing publicity surrounding bingo tax, Parliament are now reviewing sections of the act that put the ta in place in the first place and are to evaluate whether or not it is fair. There is nothing to say that the best bingo focus will win through but at least there is now a little hope.

Safeguard Your Inactive Online Bingo Accounts

Tuesday, July 7th, 2009

I’ve been taking a look around a lot of the bingo blogs online in recent weeks aad have found that quite a few online bingo players are expressing concern about inactive accounts. You know the drill – you sign up for a site to get the free offer, use some of your credit, forget about it and then find that you’ve lost your cash when you log in. Well, not to worry about it because there is only one way that you can lose your money in general. That is if you do not log in for 180 days straight under normal circumstances.

To clarify when it is that the best bingo sites will take your cash away you should always check out the terms and conditions of every site. They will outline it all there because it will allow them to take your cash as a term of use. Always clarify your rights and log on regularly. That way you will keep every penny!

Bingo Online And New Technology

Sunday, July 5th, 2009

Someone wrote earlier about an application for the iPhone that allows them to play online bingo no matter where they are in the world and I already blogged about Twitter. This got me thinking about the way in which playing bingo is evolving with all of the technological advances and crazes. Will it only be a matter of time before we play bingo in our minds?

OK, that’s taking it a little bit too far but it is an interesting thing to consider. You can play bingo live, online, via your mobile phone, follow your favourite site news on a social networking site and do all sorts of other things like chat to people on the other side of the country instantaneously. Make the most of it because it makes for some of the best bingo action around!

How Bingo Tax Will Affect You

Friday, July 3rd, 2009

If you are a huge bingo fan then you might be aware that over 500 people marched on Parliament Square on July 1st to protest against the bingo tax that some rightly think will threaten the very existance of bingo as we know it. It is thought that over 4000 people have already lost their jobs thanks to the unfairly high bingo tax and the closure of many traditional clubs that you could play bingo at.

So what is all the fuss about? Well, sports betting venues have to pay 15% tax. Bingo venues have 22%. This is not fair in any way, shape or form but the government apparently does not want to listen. As such, playing online bingo may well become more of an option for those that prefer to play in clubs as well. Whilst the industry is still alive and kicking, it is time that more was done to keep it on the high street as well.
